HAWTHORNE SLUB NATURALLY DYED SILK, COTTON & LINEN SCARF 4

A mid weight, soft and textured scarf in cotton, silk and linen slub yarns with a subtle naturally dyed shade of terracotta pink using locally foraged hawthrone leaves. These scarves are created with suitability at the forefront of our minds - the yarns are a mix of deadstock that would have made their way into landfill. The dye process is done here in the Bath studio in the most gentle way - tiny vats and locally foraged. The colour is mordanted and modified with soda ash to give a beautiful but long lasting and true colour. This one has a ombre effect with the colour running back into the natural ecru up and down the scarf as well as a very subtle block pattern that uses a commercially dyed silk and linen blend yarn.
